The woman behind the mic
They told me it was impossible.
"Getting sponsored for a corporate role in Australia — from Hungary, without already being there — was simply not possible. That is what everyone told me. I just wanted Australia to be part of my story. I made it happen."
In the past two decades I built a career I am genuinely proud of. Working in male-dominated industries — oil and gas, global tech consulting — living and working across Europe, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Australia, and becoming the youngest manager in my company's history early in my career. The kind of international career many people only dream about. Not through the easy route. Not by settling for less. By refusing to accept that the word "impossible" applied to me. And along the way I met the most extraordinary women — each one proof that the impossible is just the beginning.
I'm Viki — and this is the platform I always wished existed.
What this is
The story that rarely gets told.
Most conversations about expat life focus on the trailing spouse. Not the woman who led the move. Where She Leads changes that. Every episode is a real, unfiltered conversation with a woman who built an international career — covering the ambition, the sacrifices, the identity shifts, and the moments nobody else talks about.
Stories
The stories that need to be told.
Every month we share honest stories from women who built international careers — the moments nobody talks about, the challenges nobody warns you about, and the breakthroughs that make it all worth it.
